As they say, " Where there is a Will, there is a Way !"
While sitting in your chair, take every opportunity to get up and do some errands and go back to your chair ! If not then just get up and sit down 15 to 20 times every half an hour or on the hour at the stroke ! Feeling embarrassed about it, just retort by saying that your GP/Cardiologist has suggested/advised you to do this exercise in order to prevent a DVT as you ( hypothetically ) have a tendency to develop a blood clot in your legs ! If there is a stairway in the vicinity, then take full advantage of it and go up and down the stairs 5 to 10 times every hour on the hour ! Not just the Calories but even your entourage will ‘burn' with jealousy !
