Can someone help with my mental health issues?

Being a teenager just sucks PERIOD. You have so many hormones fluctuating throughout your body all day every day. The anger you feel is normal even though you think it is not. That testosterone is probably coming to a peek and will level off probably by the time you are 18, but everyone is different. It may be sooner or later for you.

The hormone fluctuations are one thing and mind set is another. You cannot really change your hormones, but you can change your mind set. You sound like a very bright 17 year old who has an A type personality. It sounds like you have some perfectionist qualities about you. This can make it hard because you end up beating yourself up if something does happen as you expect.

As a teenager it is hard to know what life is about and how to deal with life situations, but that is what life is about learning! You cannot know everything yet :)

I find myself very fortunate because as a young female teenager I was like yourself. An A type personality, perfectionist, etc. My world when I was 14 turned upside down when my mother became ill with cancer and died when I was 19. It took me over 10 years to deal with this and understand that I had a path. During those 10 years after my mother passed I played the victim role and painted a mental picture of myself of a poor young girl who lost her mother at too young an age. I was angry, depressed and thought the world was out to get me. Not until I got fed up feeling sorry for myself after 10 years did I feel some peace in my life. I started look after myself and treating myself better. I started going to yoga and reading self-help/spiritual books to grow myself.

That mental picture you have of yourself now will change as you age, but know that you can start today to be kinder to yourself. That voice in your head is not you. That broken record of mental chatter that you hear all day every day is not you. You are the person outside of that voice without the mental chatter. To help ease that mental chatter I have tried meditation. People who have A type personalities need to get into a space where you can be in the present moment. Not thinking about the past or the future.

Just so you know I do not have any religious beliefs. I have let that all go once my mother passed away. It took me 10 years to understand that there is a major difference between spirituality and religion.
