Does eating every 2 hours help you lose weight?
Nope. Eating more often can prevent your blood glucose from dropping too low, if you are a type 2 diabetic and have to worry about that. For everyone else, eating often would keep your insulin level elevated continuously, which eventually could lead to insulin resistance and accumulation of body fat, even without overeating!
There are many believers in the method of eating many small meals to keep your metabolism running at a high level. Maybe this works in the short run (I don't know, haven't seen data on it). Losing body fat requires some kind of abstinence from food. Fasting and intermittent fasting are effective and help preserve lean muscle better than calorie restricting, though all three methods could work. Long term success in maintaining (not gaining) weight by keeping your body's cells sensitive to insulin is better achieved by reducing meal frequency, not increasing it.
