How to fit exercise into days when I'm working a lot
Firstly you need to find an exercise routine that you enjoy and that you can do in say 10 minutes. This could include sit ups, squats, push ups, or anything else that gets you moving. Get an exercise video if you find that you need some extra motivation or play some upbeat music.
Then workout the best time for you to do this routine whether it be first thing in the morning or when you get home from work. Try to do this exercise at the same time every day so that it becomes a habit.
Other things you can do is park further away from where you work and then take a brisk walk. You could also take a walk in your lunch hour if you have one.
If you have a desk job make sure you get up every hour or so and have a stretch. If you enjoy going to the gym then go there either before work or after so that you get into a rhythm - even if it is for only an hour or so.
Maybe you can invest in an exercise bike and ride for 10–20 minutes everyday while watching your favorite TV show. The main idea is to set aside just a short amount of time everyday to do some exercise. Create the habit and it naturally becomes part of your life.
