So doing push up usually increase you muscular foundation and very useful in creating muscle balance in body. The important effect of push-ups are on shoulder , chest and it helps to you develop your scapular muscles and your rotator-cuff muscles to stabilize your shoulders.
But once you get used to this routine it wont affect your body much so you need to add different sets of exercise with you regular push-ups for ex- planks, different push-up variations like wide arms push-up, diamond push-up etc.
