How much money do people make from YouTube videos with 1 million views?

YouTube rewards its viewers well enough. There are content creators, reviewers, gamers and people from almost all walks of life.

The amount of money that a YouTuber can earn from his or her videos depends greatly on the length of the video, the location of the video, the type of the video and of course, the number of views on the video.

So How Much do YouTubers make?

Let's first assume some variables.

It is generally accepted that a youtuber makes about $0.8 per 1000 views. This sum is valid only for banner ads (note: banner ads are a thing of the past now). They are ads that appear at the bottom while the video is being played.

The next type of ad is the roll out ads. They are the ones that you skip after 5 or so seconds. They are more valuable as they offer $5 - $8 dollars per 1000 views.

So let's say that a YouTuber has garnered 1 million views. That means for every 1000 views; he gets anywhere between $3 - $10 dollars, that is, roll out plus banner advertisement revenue. Let's assume that you get a modest $5 dollars per 1000 views.

So that makes it around $5000 dollars per million views. Keep in mind that these are the views in which an ad appears. Either a roll out an ad or a banner ad. You don't get paid for views in which there are no ads.

So in the best case scenario, you make $5000 bucks for every ad view. It could be less if ads don't appear in your videos.

Affiliate Marketing For Youtube

And finally, there is affiliate marketing. It is where you endorse a product of a company for a certain amount in your videos. The income from this depends on the type of the product, and its cost.

So there you go, this is how much you can expect to make from YouTube videos. Follow my link below to know more in details.

How much does a YouTuber with 1 million subscribers earn in a year if he/she uploads two videos a week and gets 300k visits average per video?

So, you're thinking of becoming a content creator on YouTube? Are you not sure about how the YouTube revenue works? Let me explain. And relax, it's not rocket science.

So, say a YouTuber has a million subscribers. And he/she makes 2 videos per week. According to your question, let's assume they have 300,000 active subscribers from their subscriber base. That's a modest assumption, remember.

Now, 52 weeks in a year times 2 videos equals 104. So that's 104 videos per year.

Generally, banner ads pay you 0.8$ per 1000 views and roll out ads pay you 5-8$ for the same number of views.

That makes the total views per year to be around 300,000 active subscribers, times 104, equalling 31.2 million views.

Let's again assume that on average he makes $6 per 1000 views from both the type of ads.

Dividing 31.2 million by 1000 views and multiplying the result with 6$, you get a humble $187,200 per year!

It is important to remember that here we are assuming a big and active subscriber base of 300,000, a best-case scenario. We are also assuming that all of the views of the videos are associated with an ad.

Throw these two assumptions out, and you're probably left with a figure perhaps a third of the above value.

And then there is brand endorsement in your videos which will pay you according to the brand that you are endorsing, and the value of that particular product.

It might not be a cakewalk, but it definitely gives you a chance to be your own boss. If your looking to be a Youtube Tycoon check out my channel that helps new Youtube channels make money!
