I am a 27 year old and I sleep for 12-18 hours a day. What can I do about it?
1.Poor sleeping patterns
Sometimes you are sleeping for 5 hrs and sometimes its 11 hrs/Sometimes you are going to bed at 11PM and sometimes its 3AM in morning
You may never realized but your body and mind required time to adjust as per your routine.
2.Say No to caffeine(tea, coffee, cola) before sleep
Caffeine, with its stimulant effects, is disruptive to good sleep which further makes you feel tired lazy low energy next day.
3.Unhealthy Breakfast or skipping first meal
Your breakfast is the main source of your energy which helps you keep active all the day,so try to keep it healthy by having nutritious food(dairy products, fruits, eggs, cereal).
4.You've started a new medication
When you first begin a new medication(intake of medicines) your body required time to adjust and further cause lazyness or lack of energy
note :- if drowsiness persists for several weeks and begins to interfere with your daily life, it's time to see a doctor
5 Lack of Iron in your diet
An iron deficiency can leave you feeling sluggish, irritable, weak, and unable to focus. "It makes you tired because less oxygen travels to the muscles and cells"
Eat food with ample amount of iron in it(Eggs (including the yolk), dark green leafy vegetables, nuts, and peanut butter, and pair them with foods high in vitamin C)
6.Dehydration(lack of proper water intake)
When dehydrated, the fluid loss causes a drop in blood volume, which makes the heart work harder to push oxygen and nutrients through the bloodstream to the brain, skin, and muscles
makes you feel tired/fatigue which ultimately results in low in energy level.
7.Over consumption of sugar(specially soft drinks)
Over consumption of sugar makes you feel sleepy which results in feeling lazy or less energetic.
Keep the room properly ventilated so the fresh breeze brings in refreshing energy.
9.Sit straight and alert
Casual sitting postures, with head resting on the chair, with pillows all around, will definitely make you sleepy which ultimately results in low energy or lazy day.
10. Focusing on multiple things at a time
-- Sometimes focusing on multiple things at a time makes your mind restless.
-- Its better to switch between your tasks rather than doing multiple tasks at a time.
11.You are skipping your exercise
Regular exercise boosts strength and endurance, helps make your cardiovascular system run more efficiently, and delivers oxygen and nutrients to your tissues.
