What are hair growth factors?
"There are many tips and none of them is universal, so you really need to find those who work best for you. We have selected five ideas that are easy to follow and won't take much of your time or finances.
Trim your hair regularly
We have all heard how important hair trimming is. Cutting your hair regularly may sound a bit counterintuitive to the idea of making it grow longer, however if done properly it actually boosts growth. When we are talking about a regular trim we don't mean visiting your stylist every two-three weeks but rather every 2-3 months. Depending on your hair type and level of damaging it can even be up to 3-4 times per year. And the other trick here is to be careful with the length that is cut. You should ask your hairdresser to shorten your hair by half an inch to an inch maximum. Not 2, nor 3, just 1 inch. This will help eliminate the damaged ends and will make your hair look healthier and much better. It will also stimulate the growth.
Be careful with washing
Most of you have heard that natural oils are beneficial for the hair. Therefore we shall avoid washing it too often in order not to deprive it from this nourishment. Depending on your hair type it is good to skip washing your hair for 3, 4 days or even a week. You can wear your hair in a ponytail or braid the 2nd or 3rd day and experiment with styles that will suit your "unclean" hair. By all means washing your hair daily is the worst you can do.
Avoid heat treatment
Heat is one of the worst enemies of hair in general. Therefore it is advisable to avoid treating it with hot iron or having it blow-dried all too often. There are other ways to sport that curly look without heat treatment. Be creative in your style and keep those hot gadgets away from your hair as often as possible. This will make the hair stronger and it will ultimately grow faster. Remember heat dries the hair and dry hair gets damaged quicker and splits. Of course we are not telling you to throw that curler away but just give it some deserved long rest.
Something that you can do to assist your hair growth is to take some supplements. Always opt for those that are made of natural ingredients. An example of what you can add to your diet to boost your hair growth includes hazelnut butter, iron and folic acid. Hazelnuts are rich in biotin, which is a B7 vitamin that is necessary for cell growth. Biotin is a recommended supplement for strengthening hair and nails. Iron and folic acid are the other necessary micro elements that boost the health of your hair. If your hair is brittle and breaking you most probably need iron as supplement. Especially if you are vegan or vegetarian a natural iron formula supplement will help you get the necessary iron your body needs. Folic acid is another B vitamin that helps your body produce and maintain new cells. So, all these 3 supplements will help your hair grow and look much stronger and healthier.
Drink a lot of water
Drinking a lot of water has many positive effects on our body and the hair is no exception. This will make your hair look shiny and your scalp healthy, which will lead to faster hair growth. One of the signs that you are dehydrated is that your hair is brittle and prone to splitting and breaking. So grab another glass of water and drink to your hair length. Cheers! Long hair will always be fashionable... "
