Best Canada Destinations For Culture Vultures

1. Niagara Falls

If there is one destination you'd find in every ‘best places to visit in Canada' list, it is the Niagara Falls. Built along the spellbinding waterfalls by the same name, this famous city is an ideal place to explore if you're looking for a magical experience.

  • Calgary - The largest city in Alberta, Calgary is situated between the Canadian Prairies and the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. After oil was discovered nearby in the early 1900s, Calgary boomed into what is now one of Canada's largest metropolitan areas, attracting thousands every year to its world-famous rodeo event, the Calgary Stampede. This Old West celebration is held over ten days in July with rodeos, chuckwagon races, parades, competitions, crafts and food.

The road trip to Banff National Park felt like a road trip to heaven. From mesmerizing blue n green lakes to black bear sightings from the comfort of the car to enthralling treks, there's something for everyone who loves nature.

My excitement was no less than a five-year-old as we were nearing the top of the Canadian Rockies. All my life I had waited for this one moment ... to see snow white mountains, and to touch the snowflakes. There are few things more magical than looking out of the window from the car and discovering those first flurries gently falling onto your face.

One of my favorite things about Canada in the summer is that it doesn't get dark until about 9 or 10 pm. The drive from Calgary set the bar so high that it felt like straight from fairy tale entering the Emerald Lake Lodge.

The 280 km stretch from Banff to Jasper was expected to be covered in under 4 hrs but I could not resist the temptation to get down at every viewpoint and breathe in nature.

Why is Ridley Scott's Alien so highly praised?

If you've only seen Alien for the first time in the last 15 years or so, the movie may seem very slow, but in the context of the kinds of films that were being made at the time, Alien was a masterpiece of both horror and science fiction. For some context,

How does working in Africa feel?

Great.  The pace is slower than the USA (thank you, Lord!), the people friendly, the climate warm (go figure), the food spicy, and the women beautiful.Yeah, we also have power cuts several times a typical day, traffic can get snarled, gas shortages
