What are the best ways to make your life easier?
1. Begin a business
My father, who has been independently employed all his life, used to disclose to me that "Lone rascals work for jerks." Working for another person puts you at their kindness and subjects you to their impulses - and frequently their poor administration abilities. That, as well as the benefit of your work goes into their pockets.
Beginning a business places you responsible for your work life, and your cash. It's hard - independent companies bomb each day. Yet, the prizes of even a fizzled wander can far exceed the hazard. Simply realizing that your disappointment was the aftereffect of your own decisions - rather than a choice made at a corporate office a thousand miles away - can be freeing.
2. Compose a gathering
What makes you enthusiastic? Odds are, being around other individuals who are energetic about a similar thing would make you significantly more enthusiastic about it. Frequently the main thing shielding you and them from meeting up is that no one's put out a sign saying "Come and talk!" Getting a gathering going is an enormous test, and all the time the identity of the originator leaves a huge stamp on the gathering in general. Seeing a gathering develop and take off can be massively granting - however notwithstanding falling flat can show you imperative things about initiative.
I don't mean spend Thanksgiving at a soup kitchen, however that can regularly be testing enough. What I mean, however, is to make a long haul interest in your group by joining school advisory groups, giving three hours per week in an asylum, facilitating a month to month read-along at the library, coaching in danger kids after school, showing grown-up education classes at a nearby jail, or any of a million approaches to assume a part in the lives of individuals who require you. Maybe the most squeezing need in our general public is for individuals to appreciate and draw in with their groups.
4. Play a dynamic part in your children's' exercises
Pick one thing your tyke does and submit yourself to it. Mentor their group, turn into a Brownie pioneer, spend an end of the week day in the workshop with them, purchase a bicycle and ride alongside them - make their interests your own. Try not to swarm them - particularly on the off chance that you have youngsters - however demonstrate to them that you esteem something they do by giving them your chance and intrigue.
5. Begin a family
I don't mean have children. That can be very simple! Settle on the choice to have a family, which intends to give of yourself completely to someone else or a few people. Hazard being helpless by sharing your feelings of dread, eccentricities, and disappointments with another person; you may discover it makes you more grounded than at any other time.
This rises above marriage and parenthood. There are loads of individuals who can't wed in light of the fact that the law anticipates it. There are individuals who can't have youngsters. These are not the fundamental elements of family. The fundamental fixings are love, common regard, trust, and open giving. Find (or influence) somebody you to can impart that to.
6. Compose a book
It feels super great to see your name on a book cover, however it feels far superior to realize that somebody, some place, may discover his or her life changed by something you've composed. Offer your specific ability, regardless of whether it's narrating or carpentry, with the world - or simply your family. Time isn't the huge issue (however it is an issue - don't give the positive thinkists a chance to reveal to you generally!) yet in the event that you confer yourself to a page a day - a few hundred words - inside a year you'll have a quite not too bad estimated composition. That is a remark with!
7. Take in a workmanship
Take painting lessons, a ceramics workshop, a music class, whatever - figure out how to convey what needs be and you may locate a self-esteem communicating. Try not to agree to being a "Sunday painter" - give yourself to a workmanship and ace it.
8. Keep running for office
The world needs savvy, devoted, and upright individuals to deal with all the fiddly points of interest of influencing things to run. As it happens, running for nearby office isn't as trying as you'd figure (which isn't to state it's simple) - Michael Moore, the movie producer, kept running for school board while he was still in secondary school. Only for kicks. Also, won! It's fine to have your heart set on the White House or Capital Hill, yet attempt your hand at city councilperson, province recorder, or something nearer to home first. Also, be perfect - keep running for the experience of putting your group on a superior way, and not for the power.
9. Take up a game
Enough with the working out as of now! Without a doubt, you need to be sound, yet the entire treadmill-running, iPod-tuning in, 45-minutes-after-work thing is a little against social, wouldn't you say? Alright, you need some isolation on occasion - fine. In any case, in any event include a game, something you do with other individuals. You'll be investing energy cooperating with others, while additionally creating group building and initiative abilities. Also, you may take in something from your kindred players.
10. Set an over the top objective - and accomplish it!
The nine hints above are just a modest bunch of thoughts regarding how to improve your life. Possibly you need to record a collection, climb a mountain, make the Hajj (the journey to Mecca), see 20 nations - don't simply make due with modest objectives, propel yourself the distance to the edge and make sense of how to influence the craziest thing you to can consider happen. Truly, you'll need to take in a considerable measure en route, and plan months or even a very long time ahead of time - that is the thing that makes extraordinary objectives beneficial.
I would prefer not to recommend that you have to do every one of these things to be glad - doing only one is a significant modest bunch! However, in the event that you're troubled with your life, on the off chance that you need to improve a change for the, you have to prepare to stun the world and you should be prepared to put in the work to get it going. It's anything but difficult to "imagine achievement" and to "think decidedly"; it's not all that simple to devote yourself completely to the obscure and influence it to work.
This is how I keep my life simple:
- If I don't like it, I say no and the vice versa. Period.
- I only take responsibility of the thing that I have time , energy and resource for. This way I don't stress myself.
- If something goes wrong I just think that it's an opportunity to learn something for me and try fixing things in creative ways. I don't let one bad incident ruin my whole day.
- I earn, I spend, I save and I invest. Easy.
- I travel whenever I feel like traveling. But I make sure that I won't have pile of work as soon as I return from my travel. So, I work as much as possible before traveling to make sure I have to work as much less as possible after returning.
- I don't spend too much time fixing every relationship that's broken or about to break. I know who are valuable to be and I make sure that they are happy.
- I don't take part in the drama of my extended family. But I actively participate in anything and everything that my core family member does.
- I have made peace with my past and I don't let it affect me.
- I know not all people will be nice to me and I am okay with that.
- I have learned to take things easy. One week back a traffic police yelled at me for asking direction. I kept my cool and thought she must be having a bad day as she was waiting under that scorching sunlight for whole day and I just irritated her. I forgot that moment and kept driving.
- I only spend the amount that I can afford. If I can't afford it, I say no.
- I enjoy and find pleasure in small things. If I take a taxi ride to home then I end up making the driver my friend and in many other situations too.
- I listen to people and enjoy doing so. Amazed by the different type of perspective people have.
- I don't need people around me all the time to make me happy. I can and am happy by myself.
- I help people when they are in need and I know that there will be people who will help me in need. This gives me a good night sleep.
- I have invested my money wisely.
I want to start off my answer by challenging the question.
You ask, "What are the best ways to make your life easier?"
But did you ever stop to ask yourself if an easier life is necessarily the best life?
Because here's the deal...
If you want an "Easy" life, then just do what most people do...
-Work an easy 9–5 where you can earn $50,000 a year and spend most of your time goofing off and looking at memes.
-Date the same person that you've always dated even though you know that they aren't really the right fit
-Hang out with the same friends you've always been friends with, go get trashed on the weekends, meetup for beers, and talk crap about your least favorite sports team
-Fill your free time with video games, porn, TV, and other distractions that require no mental bandwith
You have an easy life!
But my guess is that you aren't looking for easy, you are looking for fulfilling.
And that is a great question.
But I have to warn you, a fulfilling life, a truly great life is not an easy life.
That's not to say that you won't be able to live a life of ease and comfort down the line... You will.
But to get to that point, you will need to do some things that are VERY hard.
So buckle up.
It might get bumpy on the road to "Easy".
A) Develop an Attitude of Delayed Gratiification
1. Learn to utilize the 1 most important resource of your life
Time. Nothing is more important than time. We all have a fixed, unknown amount of time on this planet. Use it wisely and effectively. Don't let others steal it from under your nose. Lost time can never be regained.
2. Focus on mastering the 1 thing that matters to you
There's just not enough time in this 1 life to be a master of many. If you put your effort, mind, and time into one, you can almost definitely master it. It's not difficult, really.
3. Define your own version of success
You can set it as easy or as hard as you like. You live your life on your on terms, not others'. Don't chase other people's dreams. They are not created by you, so it's going to be hard.
My dad's definition of success is to be financially better than all those around us. He has been disappointed with all that my brothers and I have got to show him thus far. But that's his definition, not mine. So I'm not bothered by it one bit.
4. People's words and actions can't get to you unless you allow them to
Don't easily give people the power to control you. Besides, it's a lot easier to control your own mind and actions rather than others'.
5. You don't need to please everyone
You can't anyway, so stop trying. There's no end to pleasing people. Sometimes maybe, but not all the time.
6. Most of your fears won't materialize, so don't overthink your problems
Even if they do materialize, you are more than capable to handle it. It's seldom life and death. Take it easy.
7. Accept that everything is temporary
Tough times will come and go. So do good times. Embrace them all the same. Nothing and no one lasts forever.
8. Ask and you shall receive
This has always been one of my life's mottos. Till this day, I still feel it's like a little secret that people seem to know but they have difficulty using it. Even my wife has difficulty with it. I ask for almost everything that I have in life.
I wanted one of the most beautiful girl in college as my girlfriend, I asked her for it and she's now my wife. I wanted money for my first business, I asked everyone for it. Assistance, relationship, partnership, experiences, things, etc; We can get it if 80% of the time if we ask for it. Just keep asking till you get it. Easy right?
9. Make sure what you want is what you need
Say you want $10 million dollars. Can you handle $10 million dollars worth of pressure and problems? The pressure of growing it and not letting it go to $0. As well as many other problems not anticipated by someone who has never got that kind of money.
Say you want to have your own company. Are you willing to sacrifice your personal time and mental energy to constantly find ways to grow it? Are you comfortable handling irrational humans that will make or break your company (staff, partners, suppliers, clients)?
Always be honest and ask yourself if those things you want are really what you 'NEED'. Needs and wants are different. Keep your wants to the minimum while you keep your few needs relevant to your values and preferences.
10. Less is more
There are just too many distractions and interruptions in our lives today (social media, entertainment, etc). Do away with the unnecessary. Say no to unimportant people and things. You can only think and do so much as a person.
11. Have a clear life purpose and define a few main life goals
Up until recently, I had always thought that life is one big mysterious, complicated sh*t. Then I learned that I lacked a clearly defined purpose in life. Once the main purpose is clear, set a few main goals to support it.
Everything that I do every minute now is pointing towards some goal that contributes to the main purpose. Life has never been easier.
12. There's no right formula in life
Nothing is certain. You can work hard and smart but still don't get what you want. Others might just get lucky and have more than 7 generations could ever use. Don't beat yourself up.
13. Prioritize relationship over anything else
When deciding on things, always consider if it has more benefits or detriments to you and the people that you love. Your life is all about you and the people that really matter to you. Spend enough time with them to the point that you won't have any regret even if you were to die any time.
14. Happiness is a choice
Everyone, and I mean every single living soul on this planet 'CAN' be happy if he/she chooses to. It's all about choice really. If you decide to be happy, then you will choose to look at the positives in life that make you happy.
15. Be grateful with what you have
If you can't be happy with what you have now, you are naive to think that you can be happy with what you'll have in the future.
11 Habits that Will Make Your Life Simple
More and more we are realizing that simpler is better: that when we simplify our lives the better they get. From a young age I realized that happiness was in simplicity, but it took me many years to realize how to make it work - to realize that the adoption of routines and habits could make my life better, not boring.
Here are 11 habits that I have adopted over the years that have contributed to making my life easier, and a lot happier!
Give Your Kids a Routine
To many parents, living with routine is a normal part of life. It took me until the birth of my third child to accept and adopt routines. I was 24 when I had my first child, too young and cool to accept structure in my life. I loved spontaneity and resisted routine. It took me ten years to realize I wasn't doing myself any favors. Stick to bedtimes, mealtimes and bath times. Kids feel more secure in the structure and you get to have more relaxed free time for yourself.
Plan Your Week in Advance
Use a calendar and plan your week. Include all appointments, meetings and work that needs to be done. You are much more likely to do the work if it is scheduled in your calendar. Your calendar is the number one tool to beat procrastination.
Write Things Down
Get everything out of your head weekly. Write down all your tasks, responsibilities, ideas, goals and dreams. By getting everything out of your head you are not going around with an overloaded brain, which disturbs your focus and ability to think clearly.
Use a Task Manager
When you get everything out of your head, you should get the tasks you need to do either into a task manager or your calendar. Tasks that are date- or time-specific should go into your calendar and all other tasks can go into your task manager. I use Evernote to store my tasks, it has the added benefit of capturing everything and giving you a place to store reference items, such as social security numbers or any other details that you may need at a moment's notice.
Clear out your home and your office regularly. The less stuff you have the less complicated your life will be. Keep it simple when it comes to personal belongings; don't hang on to stuff that is neither useful nor beautiful. The more I clear from my house and my office, the lighter I feel. There is less to tidy and sort through each day, giving me more free time to do whatever I want.
Clean as You Go
My mommy always told me, "Clean as you go." I was never good at taking advice, but when I finally decided to accept her wise words I started to benefit from more free time at the weekends. Always wash the dinner plates after dinner. Get the kids to clear up their toys after they finish playing with them. Try and stay alert to what needs to be put away. Tidying as you go will keep the place neat and organized.
Plan Your Meals
Plan out your meals for the week before you go shopping. It will save you time in the shops, save you money because you will eat everything you buy, and save you a lot of stress by having it all planned out. Weekly shopping and weekly meal planning are great ways to save time and money.
Create a Budget
Keep tabs on what you spend each day and enter it into a spreadsheet for later analysis. Write in everything you spend money on in the month and look to see if you can make any savings. When you know what you spend, you can make an informed decision about whether your current spending pattern is the best way to spend your hard-earned cash. When you know how much you want to spend on shopping, entertainment, presents etc. - stick to it.
Having down time is essential for our health, wellbeing and sanity. Make sure you have times where you disconnect from electronics and you live in the real world for a period. Time out in nature will do you and your body good. Take back the control of your life and create a regular habit of disconnection.
Learn to Say, "No"
Helping others is a noble trait, but it is also important to recognize when helping others is making you suffer. Get into the habit of putting yourself and your family first. If you say, "Yes," to helping someone at work, does that mean you have to say, "No," to reading a bedtime story?
The more we can live in the present moment, the simpler and happier our lives will become. As Lao Tzu said:
If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the moment.
Learn to simplify your life and be grateful for all the things that you have in it. Happiness does not come from more possessions and more achievements. Happiness is in simplicity.
Lastly, if you are a single, you can try it.
Interesting question. Let's see.
