What is the biggest culture shock you've experienced since you made the move?
This one's a bit of a toughie, because I moved over here already knowing what to expect about a lot of things.
If I had to pick, though? Probably the way shopping is done. In suburban ‘Murca, you'd get a huge shopping cart, wander your way around a maze of aisles, and get all the groceries you need in one trip. Here, I'm going to have to make lots of smaller trips to get a few things at a time.
And then carry those groceries up four flights of stairs to my new dorm.
It's definitely an experience, and one I'm not entirely thrilled about, but I knew what I signed up for when I decided to come here. Besides, I could use the exercise.
