What's a good way to make myself more motivated, or to drive myself to actually try harder in life? It's not that I'm not motivated, it's just after trying for as long as I have and seeing next to nothing for results, I'm losing the drive I once had.

It often happens when we seek immediate results for our hard work. We usually forget that this might be useful for us in long term. For instance I used to get tired after running for just 300m. I did not find it very useful since my weight was as it is. But then I became more consistent. My stamina increased from 300m to 500m, then to 1 km. Now I can run for 3 km in one go, that also helped me to decrease weight. The results were not immediate but if I would have left running that time I could never have achieved the stamina that I have today. It is not much but I am sure that after two months of regular running I would be able to run for 5 km in one go.

The other example is for studies. I worked really hard for CDS entrance exam (Indian army). I faced SSB twice but was not able to crack. however, that exam taught me certain tips that are now useful in my day to day activities, like regular exercise, regular newspaper reading habit, being focused on your work etc.

I would just wrap it by giving one more example. When I was kid I used to argue with my mom to take rikshaws or autos even for a small distance. But that time I did not realize that my mom is making me physically strong. It's because of her that I am able to walk for longer distance in hot sun in the absence of suitable transport. In my childhood I was not aware that this small habit could be useful for me for a longer run.

So don't think about the quick results. Whatever you do is added to your experience that would be very useful for you in the future.

What are fitness mistakes you wish you knew when you started working out?

I started dancing at age 6. What that amounts to is that I have no frame of reference for a sedentary disposition. I must concede that I was fascinated with the way the general public approaches stylized activity - by which I mean dance, aerobics

What can I eat or drink to lose belly fat? I have a disability and cannot exercise well. My weight is all in the middle.

There is no magic food or drink that burns fat from a specific part of your body. The harsh reality is that where people gain and lose fat easily is almost always a genetic crap shoot and if someone tells you

How are people who have 3 hours sleep like Dwayne Johnson still able to work out at the gym?

The truth is that while some people require 8–9 hours of a sleep to be normal, there are other people who simply do not.I am one of those outliers who just need 3–4 hours of sleep to function normally and have been this way for as long as I can remember. Every once in
